Our Educational Program
At Little Genius, we offer play-based educational programs that help children learn through play, make decisions, solve problems, and build relationships with their community. We view children as highly competent and capable, blending their learning experiences with child-led and explicit intentional instruction.

Guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF), our programs extend to children’s interests, needs, and socio-cultural influences to enhance their understanding of the world.

Ongoing Incursions

Children have the opportunity to learn about Chinese culture and Mandarin through fun and engaging experiences. The program includes learning poems, building vocabulary, exploring stories, and for older children, practising writing Chinese characters.

Buddy Program
Our Buddy Program with Mount View Primary School helps children build confidence, friendships, and familiarity with the school environment before they begin primary school.
Through weekly visits, children spend time with their Year 4 buddies, participating in games, creative projects, school tours and special events. These experiences support a positive transition to school while fostering a strong sense of belonging and community.

Prep Playground Visits
Our weekly visits to the Mount View Primary School Prep Playground provide children with opportunities to challenge their fine and gross motor skills through and active play. These experiences help build confidence, coordination, strength and independence while supporting children to become familiar with the school environment before their transition to primary school.

Literacy Program
Milo Monkey's Birthday Surprise is our engaging weekly literacy program that introduces children to letters, sounds, vocabulary, and early writing skills through play-based learning. Each week, Milo and his friends help children explore a new letter through songs, stories, mystery bags, games, and handwriting activities, building confidence and a love of literacy in a fun and meaningful way.
